In November of 2019, I found the Crochetpreneur Business Academy. Little did I know how this would change my creative business. I had been a maker selling at craft shows for a few years in AR when I arrived in WA earlier that summer.

I had only done well at craft in our local area. I had tried to have an Etsy but it never really took off. I wanted to grow my handmade business online more instead of just at craft shows. I never really tried to focus on it before. Craft shows are where I was comfortable and I knew what I was doing for the most part to meet and get to know my customers. I was able to meet their needs at craft shows.

I knew I needed help to figure out the online space. I signed up for a few craft shows in the fall of 2019. Trying to juggle craft shows, family life, and online expansion (Etsy and website, social media) was not that easy to do. I felt I was dropping the ball a lot online when I focused on craft shows. I couldn’t figure out my sweet spot. CBA definitely helped me find my sweet spot but later on in my story. It took a lot of hard work to get there. I am still working hard to this day.

I then planned to do only a number of shows including farmers markets for 2020. Well, then we all know Covid hit and all the shows were no longer. I then saw the opportunity to really work on my online platform including Etsy. I invested in better photography equipment and classes which to this day help me with designing. I tried selling online craft fairs which were a flop. My products always did better in person.

The Crochetpreneur Business Academy helped me figure out my ideal customer, my mission statement, setting up an email list, and really all the things that I need to help me in my crochet business. It is for crochet entrepreneurs specifically. So if you are looking for an amazing place that can help you as a crochet entrepreneur look no further! Click here to join the waitlist!

In December of 2019, I was trying to sell online my finished products. I had a few sales including a big sale on Covid style teddy bears. I realized I enjoyed the time I was home with the kids to celebrate Advent and Christmas. In the past, I had always been running from one event to another every weekend from September through December. We had very little family time.

In January of 2020, I decided to change my business model to designing patterns and blogging. Although, I still stay busy growing our family business, this gives our family the opportunity to spend more quality time together. I am continually figuring out ways to work the business around our family. I now homeschool our 7 almost 8 year old daughter as well as have a special needs adult who needs a lot of support daily. I love the thought of being flexible with my schedule, and enjoying the family time all year round but especially around the holidays.

I now love designing and blogging! I am still making my favorite things – amigurumi designs to bring to you with maybe a few other things sometimes.

There are two levels for Crochetpreneur Business Academy. The first level is for people that just want to do all the work themselves through the modules and not want the community aspect.

The second level is the VIP level. I love this level because I enjoy the community aspect! I love how whether product makers or designers work together as well as support each other. I love the Q & A’s each month as well as the Hot Seat calls.

My favorite part of VIP has been co-working sessions. These sessions started at the beginning of Covid when we were isolated. I have made so many wonderful crochet friends from all over the world. We help keep each other accountable during the day as well as just being there to support each other. We have become quite close in friendships. At the top of the hour, we check in and say what we are going to work on that hour. Then at the end of the hour we come back together to see what we all got done. Just knowing someone knows what I wanted/needed to get done and that they would ask me, definitely helped me stay accountable and get more things done. This is the best thing I have done for my business period!

I would stay VIP even just for the community aspect because it’s my favorite part. There is a private Facebook group as well for VIP. People are so helpful and encouraging in the group. I also love that in the VIP membership, I can search for what I am looking for and find it more easily in the modules depending on what I am working on.

Whether you a product seller or designer of crochet, the Crochetprenuer Business Academy is an excellent choice for you! Click here to go see what it is all about and join the waitlist! I promise you will not regret joining! The doors are open for a short while. CBA definitely helped me find my sweet spot but later on in my story. It took a lot of hard work to get there. I am still working hard to this day. I cannot stress enough how much it has helped me! I know it will help you as well.
